Radware’s New OnDemand Switch Outperforms
F5 BIG-IP
Radware commissioned the Tolly Group to put the OnDemand Switch to the test. Here’s how the new OnDemand Switch stacked up.
- Handled more than 5x the transactions managed by the BIG-IP 6800 platform for 128 byte objects
- Delivered over 3.5 Gbps of throughput when handling 10 HTTP transactions per connection and object sizes of 1-KB to 512-KB, while F5 platforms reached a maximum throughput of 2.47 Gbps
- Exhibited 6x better response time than F5’s BIG-IP 6800 for most object sizes and 120x faster response times for 128 byte objects
- Combated ICMP and SYN attacks by sustaining 1 Gbps throughput with no performance degradation while processing up to 49% more attack packets than BIG-IP devices tested, which degraded at lower thresholds
