Access Northeast Announces MA Data Center Expansion and Long-Term Lease for Additional Capacity

June 27, 2011 02:00 PM

To accommodate its growing customer list, Access Northeast, one of the largest privately-held data center managed services providers in New England, has completed building a new 10,000 square-foot raised floor project and also signed a long-term lease for another 40,000 square feet of space.

This additional space will enable Access Northeast to enhance the existing data center space in Marlborough to nearly 25,000 square feet. The new lease provides a future road map for the continued growth of the company's Parthenon Cloud platform, as well as their colocation service offerings, in a contiguous 70,000 square-foot footprint.

Rob Stephenson, CEO of Access Northeast, said that they are pleased to announce the simultaneous completion of their latest state-of-the-art raised floor data center expansion in conjunction with a long-term lease for future growth. He said that both initiatives now provide the company with a substantial platform for colocation and Parthenon Cloud expansion well into the next decade.

"The combination of these strategic initiatives positions Access Northeast to continue our ascent as the leading New England provider of data center, Cloud and managed services for the enterprise," Stephenson added.

Since 1999, Access Northeast has designed, built and managed IT Infrastructure services which allow enterprises to maximize their critical application performance and availability.

In related news, the company has recently introduced its Parthenon Secure Cloud dedicated service. This new, fully customized, dedicated service has been built with industry-leading components from Dell, VMware, Fortinet  , Radware and Cisco on Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems. It helps alleviate security concerns for businesses that are wary of migrating important applications to the cloud and also desire the benefits of computing scalability, flexibility, cost-efficiency and maximum uptime.
