Radware’s AppDirector offers Internet Solutions the ability to manage global load balancing, optimize application performance and provide greater scalability for ISP Customers

Radware (NASDAQ: RDWR), a leading provider of integrated application delivery solutions for business-smart networking, today announced long-time customer, Internet Solutions (IS), South Africa’s leading converged communications service provider, continues to leverage its intelligent application delivery controller (ADC) AppDirector® to further supply the ISP space with reliable load balancing and service scalability for its customers.

A Radware customer for more than 10-years, IS initially turned to Radware to provide application availability assurance; ensuring its ISP customers, which include some of the largest companies in Africa, had high availability access to network applications. With the growing business demand in the ISP space and the need for IS to provide greater amounts of reliable networking connectivity and value added services, IS turned to Radware and deployed AppDirector to support web services as well as enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) applications.

In addition to providing continuous application availability, the use of AppDirector produces an ongoing revenue stream for IS, as the service provider can now offer managed load balancing services to hosted customers. These services aid in developing a robust, scalable infrastructure that enables companies and other organizations to effectively communicate.

"As a service provider, the market relies on us to deliver high-quality, dependable access to web-based business-vital applications; especially as our ISP customers’ vitality depends on it," said Greg Montjoie, Cloud Services Executive, Internet Solutions. "The longevity in our working relationship with Radware speaks volumes to how they are as a partner. Our investment in Radware’s technology, solutions and excellent support enables us to go above and beyond for our customers needs."

With enhanced service and load balancing capabilities, AppDirector provides greater throughput capacity with more advanced control and scalability. Certified with leading business application vendors, AppDirector guarantees fast application performance, minimal latency - resulting in better QoE for deployed applications. Several IS appliances have been seamlessly upgraded using Radware‘s on demand scalability capability – a simple, extendable software license - which eliminates the need for a costly forklift upgrade – no need to ‘rip and replace’ the current infrastructure, or change configurations; which results in zero down time. In addition, the extensive feature set of AppDirector and on-demand scalability further adds to the high value and trust between IS and its customers. As a result, IS customers have gained maximum application availability while ensuring transaction completion at all times, cost-effective flexibility and fast application and transaction response times.

"We understand that it is imperative for Internet Solutions to provide the ISP community with optimized system availability ¾ at all times," said Roberto Neisser, Regional Director ROE (Rest of Europe) Radware. "Our AppDirector helps companies to effortlessly fully utilize server performance through advanced data center consolidation and by enabling a shared virtualized environment where performance bottlenecks, capacity issues and security threats can be identified in the cloud and then overcome by globally bypassing them, accelerating traffic, optimizing response times, and mitigating attacks."

Radware’s AppDirector solution is part of the Company’s Business-Smart Data Center strategy, which is based on an approach to offer a range of innovative capabilities inclusive of pay-as-you-grow procurement models and a series of compelling ‘on demand’ platforms.
