Traffic Tagging
Traffic tagging is used for business differentiation of traffic by adding security tags for non-trusted traffic and quality tags for bandwidth allocation and service prioritization.
Granular, Policy-Based Bandwidth Management
DefensePro affords a broad range of rate limiting and queuing policies for granular bandwidth management, traffic shaping and service prioritization based on specific quality of service (QoS) metrics or best-effort across subscribers, services and content. DefensePro detects service usage directly from the data stream and controls bandwidth throughout traffic flows enforcing any business policy for the entire application session, affording robust application-level QoS.

Traffic patterns and metering information can be collected by policy, including customer, time of day, service or content. With Insite, service providers can utilize traffic information to plan network resources or export utilization information for carrier operations and accounting systems.
