Radware and Network Associates Deliver Increased Security and Availability for Corporate e-Business Traffic

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL January 10, 2000 02:00 PM

Radware (Nasdaq: RDWR), a leading provider of Internet Traffic Management (ITM) solutions, and Network Associates, Inc., (Nasdaq: NETA) are teaming to provide high availability, scalable security solutions for companies that depend on secure and speedy access to their e-business servers. By combining Gauntlet's adaptive proxy architecture with Radware's IP load balancing hardware, the collaboration provides carrier-class performance with maximum security. In keeping with the growth of e-commerce, the two award-winning company's products offer joint customers a solution to the demand on complex networks for continuous availability.

Radware's Fireproof intelligently distributes incoming user requests across a farm of up to 100 firewalls, dramatically increasing the amount of traffic that can flow in and out of a network. This in turn enables network managers to greatly increase the number of secure applications their networks can support, without worrying about bottlenecks.

Customers have been demanding the ability to scale their network while maintaining the security and peace of mind that comes from protecting it with Gauntlet software, one of the most secure firewall products on the market. "Fireproof is a logical complement to the Gauntlet product because it solves key customer e- concerns about keeping Web sites available and secure even under demanding circumstances like the onslaught of holiday e-purchase requests," says Allison Taylor, Security Group Marketing Manager at Network Associates. "As companies come to rely on e-commerce for more revenue, their networks are taking on more and more users, which means the loads being placed on firewalls are increasing exponentially. Those companies looking at cost-effective ways to enhance Gauntlet firewall performance and expand secure e-business activities now have added flexibility through Radware's FireProof interoperability."

"Radware is pleased to be a key security partner of Network Associates," commented Mike Long, VP of Marketing & Technology for Radware Inc. "FireProof provides dynamic scalability and optimization of resources to any network using Gauntlet Firewalls. It also provides this same flexibility to the Gauntlet software's integrated VPN solution which can provide multiple points of presence across the world," he added.

Network Associates is providing configuration guides to help joint customers easily combine the two products in their networks. In addition, sales training and marketing efforts are in place to help educate companies about their security and load balancing options under heavy traffic environments. Additional information is available on both companies' Web sites.
