They have also targeted U.S. airports, including Los Angeles International Airport, citing American support for Israel as their motivation.

While the Dark Storm Team presents itself as a pro-Palestinian hacktivist group, some analyses suggest potential affiliations with Russian interests. Their activities often align with Russian geopolitical objectives, and they have been observed collaborating with other pro-Russian hacktivist groups.

The group's operations typically involve DDoS attacks aimed at disrupting services and drawing attention to their political stances. They have also been known to advertise the Krypton Networks DDoS-for-hire service.
