Radware's WSD-PRO Named Winner of Network Computing 1999 Well-Connected Award in the Category of Best Web Server Load Balancing Solution

MAHWAH, NJ May 5, 2000 02:00 PM

Radware, Inc. announced that their WSD-Pro has received the Network Computing 1999 "Well-Connected Award" in the category of best Web Server Load Balancing Solution. The product was chosen because of its extensive feature set, outstanding performance, affordable price, and well-rounded management and reporting tools.

"We are listening to the market requirements and responding quickly and completely to our customers' needs for functionality," said Doron Meirom, president of Radware. "The recognition gained through winning this prestigious award validates our goal to prove that Radware is the industry leader in fault tolerant load balancers."

The Well-Connected Award was presented to Radware at a gala event held on May 10th at the Bellagio hotel during the NetWorld+Interop 99 Las Vegas trade show and will be highlighted in the May 17th issue of Network Computing and also on Network Computing Online at www.networkcomputing.com. The WSD-Pro is an IP load balancer that sits between the Internet and a customer site and intelligently distributes traffic between identical content server farms. Many Internet/Intranet sites are employing traffic load balancers to provide scalability, optimization, fault tolerance and redundancy to their sites. The WSD-Pro delivers an impressive set of features, including server failure detection, local and global site redundancy and failover, URL load balancing and secure Java based management.

"The Well-Connected Awards are significantly different from other IT publications' awards," said Fritz Nelson, Editor-in-Chief, CMP's Network Computing. "Our editors worked at length to research and test the best products in the enterprise arena." According to Nelson, the products singled out in the Well-Connected Awards are unique because "they are not a measure of popularity-they are quality products tested over a networked enterprise firsthand by editors themselves. So we know that the WSD-Pro by Radware is truly an innovative solution."
