RASP (Runtime Application Self Protecting)

Runtime application self-protection (RASP) is a security technology that is built or linked into an application or application runtime environment. RASP is capable of controlling application execution and detecting and preventing attacks in real-time. The technology is built into a web application’s runtime environment, rather than monitoring from outside of the application. If a threat, fault, or other prescribed condition is identified, the RASP security technology will reconfigure the application, repairing vulnerabilities.
