Life at Radware — The Importance of Volunteering

In today's fast-paced world, volunteering may not be at the top of everyone's to-do list. However, it can bring a multitude of benefits to not only the people or communities we help, but also to ourselves. Following is a perfect example of this. We talked to Radware Product Manager Shani Czyzyk about how she views the value of volunteering, its impact on individuals and society and why she finds it so rewarding.

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Shani Czyzyk and I am an electrical engineer and product manager at Radware on our solutions team. I made a professional pivot, having worked as a hardware engineer prior to working at Radware. I am grateful for my current role and the company I joined. I enjoy coming to work every day.

Tell us about the volunteer work you do here at Radware.

I joined Radware's Women's Forum about nine months ago and met some amazing women I wouldn’t have otherwise known. The forum offers a variety of volunteering opportunities for different communities, and I really enjoy participating in these activities.

What motivates you to volunteer?

It is important for me to do things beyond my day-to-day regular job, which combines my technology background with helping people. The opportunity to combine work and doing good for people makes me feel good.

Which communities do you think are important to promote?

I strongly believe that every person is important, so any activity related to reducing disparities in society speaks to me.

Tell us about a case where you felt you made the most significant contribution.

Last August, Radware hosted a group of women on behalf of the AccelHERate program, and I participated in a women's panel on behalf of Radware. Each panelist introduced herself and told her story.

I had the opportunity to talk about my career change and how Radware welcomed me with open arms and provided me with a supportive team and opportunities to grow in my new role. I received so many inquiries from program participants and was so excited to know that I touched many women.

Why do you think it is important to volunteer, and what values do you think it reflects?

Volunteering allows us to make a positive impact on society and reflects values, such as empathy, compassion and a desire to make a difference in people's lives. It also helps us broaden our horizons, learn new things and meet new people from diverse backgrounds, which can ultimately make us better individuals.

Prioritizing our Employees

In today's fast-paced world, finding a cyber security company that prioritizes its employees and recognizes the importance of giving back to society is truly special. Shani exemplifies the value of volunteering and its impact on individuals and communities.

By actively participating in Radware's Women's Forum and engaging in various volunteering activities, Shani has not only expanded her network but has also made a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Radware's commitment to fostering a supportive environment that encourages personal growth and community engagement is a testament to the company's exceptional ethos. Shani's story serves as an inspiration to us all, reminding us of the immense rewards that come from combining our skills with a genuine desire to make a difference in the world.
