IBM Impact 2012: A Showcase of Innovation, Transformation and Growth

I just got back from IBM Impact 2012 held in Las Vegas and would like to share my impressions of the show. The conference delivered an exciting campaign about innovation, transformation and growth.

The highlight for IBM customers with whom I spoke came during the moment when the IBM PureSystems Platform – an expert integrated system – was unveiled. IBM demonstrated a total application setup in under four hours, starting from uncrating the unit. This defines a huge reduction in application deployment time, cost and expertise. Clearly this solution leveraging application patterns is innovative and posed to change application rollouts in our market.

We were happy to meet with many IBM executives, subject matter experts and business partners, and we participated in Steve Mills’ Panel at the PureSystems Business Partner event. Much of the technical discussion centered on topics such as mobility, cloud and security of expert systems.

Most of the buzz from visitors to the Radware booth focused on our announcement at the opening of the event that we are collaborating with IBM, Juniper and Virtela to deliver end-to-end application delivery solutions for customers building applications with IBM SmartCloud. The solution is geared to increased business agility, mobility, and cost-effective integration of virtual application delivery controller solutions (ADC must-have functions when deploying mission critical applications). Further, we are well aligned as an IBM PureSystems ISV in multiple IBM SmartCloud programs. Radware’s PureSystem’s readiness can be further explored at the following location:

The solution includes Radware’s Virtual Application Delivery Infrastructure (VADI®) – Radware’s strategy that transforms computing resources, ADCs and virtualization services into an integrated, agile and scalable ADC infrastructure on demand. Customers can use the Radware virtual appliance when designing intelligent application delivery solutions that quickly and easily integrate into IBM SmartCloud orchestration and provisioning systems.

All of this deliver’s end customer’s cost containment strategies based on simple, flexible and modular architectures minimizing CAPEX and insulating OPEX. Our joint collaboration is accelerating innovation for customers and allowing them to leverage technology to increase their own effectiveness in the market place, having a direct impact on business results.

All in all, it was a great show filled with plenty of opportunities to spread the news about Radware’s participation in IBM PureSystems.
