DDoS protection refers to the strategies and methods used to stop distributed denial of service attacks on a network. A distributed denial of service attack uses multiple users and computers launch a campaign which can slow or eventually stop a network from functioning.

As DDoS attacks become more popular among online collectives, having a robust DDoS protection strategy becomes crucial for organizations. DDoS protection methods such as Anti-Dos, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Behavioral Analysis (NBA), IP reputation tools and Web Application Firewall (WAF).
