New center strengthens local application and API protection as cyberattack activity rises across Asia Pacific
Radware® (NASDAQ: RDWR), a global leader in AI and application security and delivery solutions for multi-cloud environments, today announced the launch of a new cloud security service center in Thailand. The new center expands Radware’s global cloud security network and is designed to provide organizations in Thailand with local application and API protection, with the goal of helping reduce latency and supporting compliance with data and regulatory requirements.
The expansion builds on Radware’s growing business with government and enterprise customers in Thailand and strengthens the company’s ability to meet increasing demand for locally delivered cloud security services. It also comes as Thailand strengthens cybersecurity requirements for cloud environments and cyberattack activity rises across Asia Pacific. According to publicly available information, a new Cloud Cybersecurity Standard developed by Thailand’s National Cyber Security Agency took effect in September 2026, establishing cybersecurity requirements for cloud environments used by government agencies and critical information infrastructure organizations.
According to Radware’s H1 2026 Global Threat Analysis Report, based on Radware’s internal data and methodology, Web DDoS attack activity targeting APAC increased 485% year over year in 2025, when the region accounted for 24% of global Web DDoS activity. In the first half of 2026, APAC accounted for 18.5% of global Web DDoS attack activity. Application and API attacks are also accelerating, with malicious web application and API transactions increasing 104% over 2025 levels in H1 2026 and exceeding 14,000 malicious transactions per application per day.
“Organizations in Thailand are increasingly relying on cloud-based applications and services to support critical operations, while the rapid adoption of AI is creating new opportunities as well as new security challenges,” said Yaniv Hoffman, vice president and managing director, Asia Pacific and Japan, Radware. “We see Thailand as an important and growing market, and this investment reflects our confidence in what we believe to be its continued digital and AI-driven growth. By expanding our cloud security network in the country, we are bringing protection closer to our customers, intended to strengthen application resilience, and expanding our ability to support our partners and the government and enterprise customers we serve across Thailand.”
The Thailand center becomes part of Radware’s global cloud security network, which includes over 65 cloud security centers worldwide. Radware owns and operates its global cloud security centers and the equipment installed within them, allowing the company to maintain direct oversight of capacity, quality and performance. The distributed network is designed to mitigate attacks closest to their point of origin, designed to help organizations improve application response times for in-region traffic, accelerate mitigation response times and support compliance with data residency requirements.
Radware’s cloud security services use AI-driven, behavior-based technologies to provide automated, real-time protection against sophisticated web and application attacks, DDoS attacks, API abuse and malicious bots. The company’s cloud security portfolio includes Cloud DDoS Protection, Cloud Application Protection, API Security, Bot Manager and AI security solutions.
