Independent, Third-Party Audit Shows DefensePro© Successfully Mitigating 30 Test Scenarios
Radware® (NASDAQ: RDWR), a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions ensuring optimal service levels for applications in virtual, cloud, and software-defined data centers, received validation from ICSA Labs, a leading third-party testing and certification body and an independent division of Verizon. During a recent audit, ICSA Labs verified that Radware’s DDoS detection and mitigation testing scenarios were “thoughtfully designed and properly executed.” The Radware DDoS testing methodology is the first DDoS technology to be audited and validated by ICSA Labs.
The ICSA Labs audit report additionally highlighted DefensePro’s ability to detect and mitigate 30 different scenarios in 8 sections ranging from application-layer DoS/DDoS floods to mitigating brute force, to handling SSL and other application misuse. In every case, the attack was detected and mitigated by the inline DefensePro.
ICSA Labs performed both an on-site and virtual audit of Radware’s execution of the standardized DDoS proof of concept. ICSA Labs noted the credibility of Radware’s tests, saying “the attack tools and techniques included in the test plan represent the misuse of resources, both at the IP network layer and application layer, that has been reported in ‘in-the-wild’ attack campaigns in recent years.”
“ICSA Labs recognizes Radware’s commitment to delivering high quality security products,” said Jack Walsh, new initiatives and mobility programs manager at ICSA Labs. “ICSA Labs found that Radware’s DefensePro technology tests were thoughtfully designed and properly executed confirming that its DDoS product adequately addresses and mitigates DDoS attacks.”
“As one of the most well-respected technology testing firms, ICSA Labs offers strong third-party validation of our testing methodology as representative of the DDoS attacks organizations defend against every day,” said Ben Desjardins, director of security solutions marketing at Radware. “Organizations seeking protection from today’s more sophisticated multi-vector attacks can confidently leverage this vetted testing methodology as part of their process for comparing the capabilities of various DDoS solution options.”
DefensePro offers real-time, behavioral-based DDoS mitigation that protects organizations’ infrastructure against network and application downtime, application vulnerability exploitation, malware spread, network anomalies, information theft, and other emerging DDoS attacks. Its dedicated hardware protects organizations without impacting legitimate traffic, and it provides centralized management, monitoring, and reporting.
