Defends the multinational organization against new and emerging DDoS attacks

Radware®, a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions, today announced that Berger Paints, one of the largest paint companies in India, has chosen Radware’s DefensePro® DDoS Protection for network security.

The multinational paint company, which has more than 3,600 employees, manages a distribution network of more than 25,000 dealers. In response to an increase in suspicious network traffic, the company wanted to strengthen its security defenses. After evaluating other solutions, it turned to Radware for its advanced behavioral-based detection, automated real-time signature generation, and ability to defend against zero-day attacks.

According to Berger Paints’ IT team, “As our company has grown, the threats have become more sophisticated, and we’ve started to experience a higher level of security incidents. As one of the leaders in DDoS protection, Radware responded immediately to our concerns, safeguarding our global infrastructure. Radware’s state-of-the-art cybersecurity solutions provide an essential foundation, so we can fulfill our mission, which is to develop and deliver innovative solutions for our customers.”

According to Radware’s 2022 Global Threat Analysis Report, malicious DDoS attacks rose by 150% compared to 2021. The frequency of DDoS attacks also saw a significant and concerning uptick. Globally, organizations mitigated an average of 29 attacks per day during the fourth quarter of 2022, 3.5 times more compared to 8 attacks per day at the end of 2021.

“When organizations scale and rely on new systems and a growing workforce, the risk of security gaps and exposure to more threats increases,” said Nikhil Karan Taneja, Radware’s vice president and managing director for India, the Middle East, and South Asia. “Our DefensePro solution offers automated, real-time DDoS protection to mitigate both known and unknown attack vectors.”

Radware’s DefensePro delivers automated DDoS protection from fast-moving, high-volume, encrypted, or very-short-duration threats. It defends against IoT-based, Burst, DNS, and TLS/SSL attacks, ransom DDoS campaigns, IoT botnets, phantom floods, and other types of cyberattacks.

Industry analysts such as Aite-Novarica Group, Forrester Research, Gartner, GigaOm, KuppingerCole, and Quadrant Knowledge Solutions recognize Radware as a market leader across a variety of cyber security categories. The company has received numerous awards for its application and API protection, web application firewall, bot detection and management, and DDoS mitigation solutions.
