Concordia University of Wisconsin is one of 10 universities in the Concordia University system responsible for the availability and optimized performance of all campus email, Web access, and administrative systems. To help the university ensure fast end-user response time for its networked applications and prevent service interruptions, Galaxy Data, a value-added reseller of connectivity solutions, deployed a high performance application switching solution consisting of multiple Radware WSD and LinkProof devices located at critical points in the university's infrastructure. Concordia University also uses Radware's SynAPS embedded Intrusion Prevention software, available on all Radware application switches, to add an extra layer of security by protecting the perimeter of the network from port blocking before it reaches the firewall.
