Radware and WebTrends Announce Strategic Partnership on Server Farm Management

MAHWAH, NJ May 17, 1999 02:00 PM

Radware, a leader in load balancing and high availability solutions, and WebTrends Corporation (Nasdaq:WEBT), the leader and pioneer in enterprise management and reporting for Internet-based systems, today announced a joint initiative to provide best of breed solutions for server farm management. The combined solution provides Radware's high availability and load balancing with WebTrends market leading traffic analysis, management and reporting for Internet-based server clusters. The companies will be promoting the joint solution to each of their customer bases, beginning with the bundling of trial evaluations of WebTrends enterprise reporting products with Radware's load balancing solutions.

As companies seek fault tolerance, improved cost-performance, and scalability for their Internet and intranet sites, they are moving from single server architecture to clusters of servers, or server farms. A complete server farm solution requires a load balancer to ensure high availability and load balancing, which increases the need for a complete server farm management solution that provides accurate traffic analysis, quality control and monitoring. Both the WebTrends Enterprise Suite and the recently released Enterprise Reporting Server feature ClusterTrends technology that automatically combines and analyzes multiple log files from local or geographically dispersed servers. Accurate reports are created for items such as true user sessions, top paths through site, most requested pages, percentage of load per server, bandwidth served by server and geographic origin of visitors by server.

"We are excited to partner with WebTrends as they offer a robust management and reporting solution ideal for our web farm customers," said Doron Meirom, president of Radware Inc. "We will continue to seek new alliances with industry leaders like WebTrends in order to bring the best available solutions to our customers."

"Our Web site is experiencing phenomenal growth and we are deploying additional Web servers to distribute the load," said Ian Barraclough, Sr. Networking Analyst of BMC Software. "Radware's load balancing solution combined with WebTrends Web traffic analysis products provides us with a complete solution allowing us to service and monitor the ongoing needs of our customers." "Radware's expertise in load balancing, combined with WebTrends market leading products for multi-server reporting and management, provide a comprehensive end-to-end solution to server farm customers," said Eli Shapira, CEO of WebTrends. "The alliance enables these customers to maximize the return from their Radware based server farms through the continuous analysis, reporting, and management capabilities that WebTrends enterprise solutions provide."
