Radware Delivers First-to-Market IMS Service Delivery Solution

MAHWAH, N.J. February 5, 2008 02:00 PM

Radware (NASDAQ: RDWR), the leading provider of integrated application delivery solutions for business-smart networking announced today a first-to-market IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)-ready service delivery solution – inclusive of SIP and Diameter Application Delivery Controllers (ADC). The coupling of these two solutions guarantees service continuity for IMS high touch environments which translates into optimized service delivery and major capital operating savings for carriers and operators.

Radware’s solution supports critical IMS protocols, including Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and Diameter, the next generation Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) protocol, across multiple transport environments to enable service providers the opportunity to deliver a seamless and optimized IMS infrastructure. By supporting multiple protocols, Radware offers service providers the ability to scale IMS applications for millions of users, while at the same time ensuring the applications and services are always available and secure.

“Carriers and operators require a framework capable of identifying and resolving high touch SIP and Diameter service delivery challenges, including latency, Denial of Service among other issues,” said Zeus Kerravala, Senior Vice-President, Yankee Group. “Radware is aggressively responding to these challenges by simplifying, accelerating and easing the integration and deployment of next generation IMS-delivery systems; allowing service providers to bring new services to market faster, thereby driving new revenue opportunities.”

Key to the Radware’s IMS-ready offering is leveraging SIP Director, Radware’s first-to-market solution with a fully SIP-aware ADC. With SIP Director, Radware’s IMS-ready offering can operate within a wide range of applications across IMS service control, signaling and transport layers; enabling service providers the ability to guarantee service continuity, scalability, carrier-grade performance and interoperability of SIP-based services ― essential to the operation of Value Added Services (VAS), CSCFs, SIP trunking and peering environments.

Additionally, Radware’s Diameter ADC offers service providers further service delivery continuity, optimization and scalability, at both the global and local load distribution-level. Focused on AAA, Radware responds to carriers’ need for more secure authentication schemes of their HSS; ensuring minimal service and application delivery failures and disruptions, which would immediately translate into subscriber disconnection and negatively impacting carriers’ customer retention rates.

“The service provider market is at a critical point, where converged multimedia and Web applications are required to retain and grow their customer base. We feel that by bringing to market the first IMS-ready ADC solution, we are enabling carriers to deliver new revenue-generating services to drive growth and increase customer satisfaction,” said David Aviv, Vice President Advanced Services, Radware. “Our new IMS-ready solution is a strong complement to our broader set of telecom-focused solutions, and we will continue to bring innovative solutions to market that enable further carrier service growth.”

Critical benefits to Radware’s IMS-ready solution, include:

  • Tailored Approach to IMS ‘High Touch’ Service and Core Environments: Radware’s IMS-ready offering translates into high-impact on carrier customer retention through service continuity;
  • Reduced Time-to-Market: Offers out-of-the-box carrier-grade compliance, interoperability and system performance for CSCF and HSS;
  • High Availability and Resilience: Providing intelligent Diameter ADC and SIP ADC performing health monitoring, fail-over and disaster recovery;
  • Scalability and Migration Path: Support of IMS protocols across multiple transport environments enables seamless, optimized and scalable migration to IMS networks as well as support of large scale networks;
  • Enhanced Security: Obtained through behavioral Denial of Service (DoS) protection for ADC ‘hardening’ and protection of SIP users and networks from DoS and other attacks.
