Radware® (NASDAQ: RDWR), a leading provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, today announces it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant for Application Delivery Controllers 1.

Gartner, Inc. is the world's leading information technology research and advisory company and is known as the definitive source of objective technology thought leadership. This year’s report authored by Gartner analysts Joe Skorupa, Neil Rickard and Bjarne Munch, defined usage of Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) with enterprises “to optimize reliability, end-user performance, data center resource use and security for a variety of enterprise applications.” The full Gartner report can be accessed here.

In order to be included into the 2012 Magic Quadrant for ADCs, Radware was evaluated by Gartner on a set of criteria that included how well the product addresses the needs of the enterprise, the breadth of features, performance, and scalability of the product as well as support for ADCs and virtualized ADC platforms. Also evaluated was Radware’s capability to understand the buyer’s needs and translate this into products, services and business benefits.

Gartner defines a leader in the ADC Magic Quadrant as exhibiting “the ability to shape the market by introducing additional capabilities in its product offerings, and by raising awareness of the importance of these features. Key capabilities for a Leader revolve around the AP ADC capabilities that focus on enterprise application capabilities.”

The definition additionally states, “We expect a Leader to have strong or growing market share, especially in the AP ADCs, and to have solutions that resonate with an increasing number of enterprises. Expertise in complex data center application deployment is also necessary to be a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for ADCs.”

Avi Chesla, chief technology officer, Radware, says “Organizations are constantly faced with frequent changes to their configuration and the need to consolidate their ADC hardware devices. Keeping this challenge in mind and assisting our customers to do more with less, we offer a simple and cost-effective way to run multiple virtual instances on a dedicated platform.”

“By consolidation, we are able to significantly reduce not only hardware costs, but lower operational expenses as well. Our recent position as a ‘leader’ in the ADC magic quadrant, shows our unwavering commitment to ensure customer satisfaction. It is a privilege to have Gartner recognize us in this latest report,” adds Chesla.

Radware’s application delivery solution fully addresses challenges faced by enterprises by delivering a complete set of services to ensure agility, efficiency and simplicity of mission-critical applications in the physical and virtual data center. With an understanding that mission-critical applications directly affect employee productivity, business reputation and generated revenues, Radware's application delivery solution delivers these services in the most cost-effective way, to ensure fastest return on investment.
