SingleHop Cloud Hosting Provider Utilizes Radware’s DDoS Mitigation Solution in Their SingleHop Shield™ Attack Mitigation Services Offering

Radware® (NASDAQ: RDWR), a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions ensuring optimal service level for applications in virtual, cloud and software defined data centers, announced that SingleHop, a leading provider of Hosted Private Clouds, Managed Hosting, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service for businesses and enterprises around the world, has chosen Radware’s DDoS Attack Mitigation solution to power their enhanced line of SingleHop Shield security services.

Headquartered in Chicago, SingleHop serves more than 5,500 customers in more than 124 countries with data centers across the United States and Europe.

SingleHop operates in a highly competitive marketplace. As cloud and hosting services have become a more common element of enterprise IT architectures, the expectations and requirements for providers to differentiate themselves from other providers has increased dramatically.

Like many others, SingleHop experienced a steady increase in the frequency and duration of volumetric attacks. They would block these attacks, but to do so was a predominantly manual process that distracted their engineers from other key priorities. The needed to protect their customer base at large, but it was not feasible to do so with their existing solution.  SingleHop sought out an attack mitigation solution that would automate the process and free up their engineers. After selecting Radware, they saw the opportunity to convert what was a high-overhead expense into a new area of profitability.

“Radware’s advanced attack mitigation capabilities and flexible licensing made partnering with them an easy choice,” said Jordan Jacobs, VP of Products at SingleHop. “Radware’s security technology in combination with SingleHop’s advanced automation engine allows us to offer customers a powerful enterprise DDOS solution on-demand and on an as-needed basis to provide the highest levels of protection in a consumable and affordable fashion for businesses with smaller budgets. Radware’s licensing enables us to provide a solution that can protect multiple customers without having to scale the cost to meet the size of the attacks.”

“SingleHop saw an opportunity to monetize on what otherwise was an expensive cost-of-operation for their business,” said David Anderson, Corporate Vice President North America for Radware. “Not only were they able to meet the attack mitigation needs of their customers, but they successfully built a profitable high margin new service.”
