Advanced Persistent Attack is a sophisticated and targeted attack that lasts for several days or weeks. The attackers will change vectors in an attempt to overwhelm and bypass network security. Once the attackers gain access to the network they will remain inside for a prolonged period of time. If they are discovered and remoted from the network they will exhaust every resource in an attempt to find another way back it.
