Radware: Appliances for virtual environments

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Ilan Kinreich, Radware’s, Chief Operating Officer, about the company’s approach to virtual environments. Unlike some of the other companies of which I am aware in this market, Radware has taken the approach of offering its technology in the form of appliances rather than as packaged software.

Radware is offering quite a number of network appliances that deal with application delivery, application security, real-time data about network and system operations as well as management. One of the benefits of the approach of delivering products in the form of an appliance is the ease of installation and management of the product. The developers know exactly what software environment exists and can create technology that makes full use of that environment without having to deal with incompatibilities, mismatched software versions and the like. This also means that the function is more highly secure. Only Radware knows what operating system and support environment are there.

As with others I’ve mentioned recently, Radware believes that monitoring and controlling the network traffic can make everything from securing the network to implementing workload balancing and even virtual machine migrations easier to manage.

It would be worth a visit to their website to learn more.

It’s an interesting approach.
