Radware today announced that its application delivery controller (ADC) technology is available as a virtual appliance that can be managed alongside its physical ADC devices under a common management framework.
According to Radware COO Ilan Kinreich, the company’s Virtual Application Delivery Infrastructure (VADI) strategy is designed to give customers the option of deploying ADC on either physical or virtual servers depending on their service level requirements.
Kinreich says Radware has gone to great effort to make sure that its first ADC-VX virtual appliance can run in isolation on its own VMware hypervisor to ensure performance levels.
The Radware ADC software can be deployed on a standard server or dedicated switch from Radware and comes with open APIs designed to simplify integration with third-party virtual machine orchestration software.
Other elements of the Radware VADI strategy will be rolled out over the next 12 months.
