Computershare selects Radware for Intelligent Traffic Management across Australian, UK and US Sites

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA November 12, 2001 02:00 PM

Radware (Nasdaq: RDWR), a global leader of Intelligent Traffic Management (ITM) solutions that bring certainty to dynamic networks is pleased to announce that Computershare - the world's leading shareholder registry, managing more than 62 million shareholder accounts for over 7,000 corporations in nine countries on five continents, has integrated a range of Radware products to maintain a fault-tolerant, high performance environment for its online global financial services operation. Radware deployed its' solutions to Computershare's network infrastructure, enforcing Computershare's commitment to making sure its online global investor service is fast, consistent and fully operational 24x7.

Computershare installed Radware Web Server Directors (WSD-NP) for network proximity and global traffic management at each of its sites in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States for faster, more efficient and reliable global service for end users. Radware's WSD-NP was specifically designed for Internet applications running on several data centers and is ideally suited for Computershare's e-commerce service from three sites across the globe. In addition, Computershare installed Radware's CertainT 100 SSL Accelerator at each site, significantly speeding-up online transactions. This is accomplished by relieving network web servers from performing CPU intensive SSL encryption and decryption calculations associated with e-commerce applications. The deployment of WSDs and CertainT 100s at Computershare's worldwide sites illustrates the ease of integration between the two products, providing a comprehensive traffic management solution.

"The level of security offered by Radware's solid state architecture played an important factor in our selection. When a company is investing in a mission critical global network for e-commerce, a totally secure, bullet-proof solution that is highly flexible and easy to manage is reassuring and appealing," said David Smith, website manager at Computershare. "Computershare recognizes the importance of online customer satisfaction. Deploying Radware's award-winning ITM devices with our e-business infrastructure helps us give our customers an optimal online experience."

Tony Burke, general manager, Radware Australia said, "Computershare showed an impressive level of due diligence in their selection process. The decision was made on a comparative basis and Radware was selected because we came out on top after the boxes had been put through their paces. The combination of the Web Server Director and CertainT 100 from Radware will give Computershare the highest possible level of performance, resilience and load balancing across its global website infrastructure. The solution can be scaled up to 20,000 SSL transactions per second locally, and has capacity for an unlimited number of regular http and SSL transactions on a global level."
