Radware's Product Marketing Strategy Wins Prestigious Frost and Sullivan Award

MAHWAH, NJ June 5, 2000 02:00 PM

Radware (Nasdaq: RDWR), a leading provider of Internet Traffic Management (ITM) solutions enabling continuous access to Web sites, IP applications and content, is proud to announce its long-time product strategy has been recognized by industry analysts as the best approach to gaining market share in the ITM arena. Since its inception in 1997, Radware has focused on developing individual products to meet clients' specific network high availability needs. Radware's suite of products includes separate devices capable of load balancing Web servers, firewalls, cache servers and WAN links (routers). Radware recently received the Frost & Sullivan "Market Engineering Award for Product Line Strategy."

Frost & Sullivan writes, "Radware Inc. offers a diverse product line of load balancing solutions within the ITM industry. In the highly competitive ITM industry, Radware recognized the commoditization of Web server load balancing solutions. As a result, the company focused its engineering efforts in developing load balancing solutions that maximizes the performance of cache servers, monitors the health of Internet Service Provider connections and distributes traffic among security devices." Frost and Sullivan recognizes Radware as a leader in the ITM arena based on the company's product line optimization through the introduction of new products, the ability to accommodate different market segments and the enhancement of its product offerings.

"This award validates Radware's long term commitment to focusing ITM solutions on individual disciplines within the Internetworking space," said Doron Meirom, President of Radware Inc. "Our goal is to provide our customers with the right tool for each job. Different networking facets require different feature sets and different mind sets. All-in-one solutions are typically over-priced and don't offer the focus that our customers demand. Radware will continue to explore and develop high availability solutions for our customers that will keep them Always On Line."

For over three years Radware has maintained a leading position in the ITM market in each of the four major load balancing venues. Radware's Web Server Director (WSD) won critical acclaim upon entering the market and was recently named "Best of Breed" in InternetWeek. The Cache Server Director (CSD) is a feature-rich device for load balancing cache servers, and Radware's LinkProof product is the first of its kind to load balance WAN links and routers. Recognizing the need for a specific device to improve the performance and security of firewalls prompted Radware to create FireProof, the de-facto standard and market leader in firewall load balancing.

"There are many times when using a do-it-all ITM device is not the right tool for a specific job," said Mark Hoover of Acutitve, Inc. "For a number of years Radware has taken the approach of delivering the right tool for the right job by supporting and continually upgrading products specifically priced and featured for cache redirection, firewall load balancing, local server load balancing, global server load balancing, WAN link and ISP load balancing, etc."

Radware's suite of products offers ITM capabilities that provide e-certainty throughout the entire network, no matter how large or small. While ITM vendors and industry analysts are realizing the benefits of different products for different needs, this has been Radware's strategy from the beginning. Radware continues to demonstrate its dedication to the network engineer as well as the consumer by aggressively researching load balancing technology and developing products to meet the challenges of Internet Traffic Management in the future.
