Radware (Nasdaq; RDWR), the global leader in Intelligent Traffic Management (ITM) solutions that bring certainty to dynamic networks, today announced that Radware's Web Server Director (WSD) Application Switch II has been named a Finalist in the Performance Enhancement category of the Best of Show Awards competition at NetWorld+Interop 2001 Atlanta by CMP Media LLC's InternetWeek and Network Computing.

Yesterday, Radware unveiled its next generation hardware platform, Application Switch II, at Networld+Interop 2001 Atlanta. Radware's WSD Application Switch II provides ultra-high capacity for application switching through the implementation of a multi-layered switching architecture and a non-blocking 19.2 Gigabit backplane. Switching ASICs on the port levels ensure unmatched session forwarding rates. The end result is a platform that delivers unmatched speed, intelligence and processing capabilities, enabling IT managers to accelerate the performance of their IP network infrastructures and applications.

The editors of InternetWeek and Network Computing, two of CMP Media's premier IT publications, reviewed over 200 online submissions and will evaluate new products on the show floor to select finalists in 11 categories. Web Server Director Application Switch II was named a Finalist in the Performance Enhancement Category. Finalists for this award have proven to the judges that their product is definitely one to watch in the marketplace. The Best of Show Awards are designed to help IT and network managers shorten the evaluation process in assessing new products. By identifying innovative products debuted at NetWorld+Interop, the Best of Show Awards assist in the quest for Internet-enabled solutions.

"The Application Switch II is further evidence of our clear technological leadership," said Roy Zisapel, President and CEO of Radware. "It provides our customers with the highest throughput, scalability and port density on the market, enabling them to drive further performance and cost efficiencies from their network environment while optimizing and controlling mission critical applications."

"The finalists were chosen from a group of very impressive entries in the category," said Curtis Franklin, managing editor/technology for InternetWeek and a member of the joint editorial judging team with Network Computing. "We selected Radware's Application Switch II because we believe it's one of the most innovative solutions in the Performance Enhancement category," explained Ron Anderson, senior technology editor at Network Computing

Winners of the Best of Show at NetWorld+Interop 2001 Las Vegas will be announced at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, September 12, 2001 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
