On January 25 the virus spread across the United States, Asia and Europe, overwhelming network infrastructures by replicating quickly and aggressively sending out probes that overwhelmed many Internet data pipelines. The virus slowed Internet traffic, preventing users from accessing websites and affected several banks worldwide, as customers could not withdraw money from ATM machines.
