Radware Announces Its New SSL Accelerator - A New Product in the CertainT Series of Application Services

Mahwah, NJ March 12, 2001 02:00 PM

Radware (Nasdaq; RDWR), a leading provider of Intelligent Traffic Management (ITM) solutions that bring certainty to dynamic networks, ensuring optimal, continuous, personalized and secure service, is proud to announce the release of the Company's SSL Accelerator, CertainT 100. This product enables e-commerce sites to ensure customers enjoy top performance while maintaining privacy and security. CertainT 100 SSL encryption / decryption capabilities, coupled with the strengths of Radware's award winning traffic management solutions, ensures fast, efficient, continuous and secure completion of e-business transactions.

"Secure transactions are slow and tedious and often consume a large portion of network resources," said Mike Belson, CEO at Ordermarket. "Our experience with handling hundreds of simultaneous secure transactions has led us to the conclusion that Radware's SSL acceleration product is a critical solution for alleviating much of the associated overhead."

CertainT 100 provides high-speed on-line SSL transactions, while at the same time enables web servers to operate at peak efficiency. This is accomplished by relieving network web servers of performing the CPU intensive SSL encryption and decryption calculations associated with e-commerce applications. When added to a network, CertainT 100 offloads all SSL sessions from the web server. SSL traffic is then encrypted and decrypted and seamlessly sent back to the server. Combined with Radware's Web Server Director, SSL acceleration can be scaled up to 20,000 transactions per second through the creation of a CertainT 100 farm.

"Our CertainT 100 SSL Accelerator exemplifies Radware's commitment to a total traffic management solution. By enhancing our product offering to support application services such as SSL transactions we offer e-businesses the speed and security they require. Combined with our intelligent traffic management solutions, the SSL Accelerator brings additional value to our existing customers and an even higher value for new customers." Said Roy Zisapel, president of Radware.

CertainT 100 is a stand alone dedicated device, 1U unit size and currently available for shipping. Also available in the CertainT series of application services is Radware's CertainT 200 Akamaizer, a product that allows customers to automatically and transparently manipulate Web content, thereby optimizing e-Business networks by routing users to the closest available content on the Akamai global network.
