Radware (Nasdaq; RDWR), a leading provider of Intelligent Traffic Management (ITM) solutions that bring certainty to dynamic networks, today announced the release of LinkProof version 3.2 - the only product on the market that provides a complete traffic management solution for multiple ISP connections, guaranteeing full fault tolerance between ISP links. The LinkProof version upgrade provides users with enhanced functionality and the most advanced link traffic management tools available in the market today.
"LinkProof's new software allows for real cost saving mechanisms by optimizing traffic sent to each Internet link. Our use of bandwidth limitation ensures that each link is used exactly according to its defined bandwidth capacity, said Sharon Trachtman, VP Marketing at Radware. "LinkProof version 3.2 efficiently optimizes multi-link traffic management while continuing to ensure the fastest content delivery."
SynApps Architecture
Radware's SynApps Architecture combines Application Health Monitoring, Traffic Redirection, Bandwidth Management, and Application Security in a powerful, ASIC-based switch platform. Combined, these four elements optimize the user experience by managing traffic according to application needs. The Traffic Redirection module is responsible for the actual load balancing of user sessions among ISP links. The Health Monitoring module is responsible for ensuring that the link is available, healthy, and capable of handling user traffic. SynApps's Bandwidth Management allows administrators to have full control over their available bandwidth. Using this module, applications can be prioritized according to a wide array of criteria, while taking into account the bandwidth used by each link. The Application Security module enables Radware's products to protect sensitive network resources from various security risks. This module provides advanced security measures for the network's resources. This includes detection and prevention from over 450 malicious virus attack signatures.
Link Bandwidth Limitation
This feature allows users to limit inbound and outbound bandwidth, as well as total bandwidth for each link. Limiting bandwidth per link is a cost saving feature whereby each link is used according to a pre-configured bandwidth capacity. When any of the bandwidth limitations are reached, no new clients will be sent via this link; however, existing sessions will not be disturbed. If all links reach their limitations, backup links will be used.
Differentiated Services (DiffServ) Support
LinkProof's bandwidth module allows for the prioritization by DiffServ information. By setting DiffServ octets, packets are classified and marked according to parameters such as cookies, URLs, applications and IP addresses. This ensures that the packets will be then be prioritized by other network devices accordingly.
