Radware Enhances Its End-to-End Connectivity Solution with Integrated VPN Technology

RSA Conference, San Francisco - Booth # 942 February 15, 2005 02:00 PM

Radware (NASDAQ; RDWR) the leading provider of Intelligent Application Switching (IAS) solutions ensuring the end-to-end availability, performance and security of networked applications across the enterprise, is pleased to announce the availability of integrated VPN gateway in its LinkProof Family. This new capability is a significant enhancement of Radware's end-to-end connectivity solution and enforces the Radware strategy of consolidating services. The integrated VPN gateway expands on Radware's SynApps Architecture that already includes load balancing, intrusion prevention, bandwidth management and DoS protection - delivering a comprehensive, cost effective communication solution.

The first branch product in the industry to integrate VPN gateway, Radware's LinkProof Branch simplifies the branch architecture without requiring technical expertise and complicated installations.

Integrated VPN in the LinkProof Branch product provides an optimal branch office connectivity solution, removing the complex remote-side administration burden while minimizing the overhead and the capital investment required for secure connectivity. A single LinkProof Branch can now replace a complex branch office installation of four devices from different vendors by integrating a link load balancer, Intrusion Prevention System, bandwidth manager and VPN gateway in one solution.

"For organizations with distributed applications, it is essential to ensure that mission critical applications are accessible by all employees, including regional and branch offices. Multiple failure points, bottlenecks and potential attacks over the public network must be eliminated to ensure the integrity of information that traverses over public network", said Mark Fabbi, Research VP, Gartner. "Integrating VPN gateway into a branch connectivity solution represents a significant move for the industry."

LinkProof Branch is fully compliant with the IPsec standard and is compatible with any IPsec based VPN gateway. Compatibility tests were performed with all major VPN vendors. This enables Radware to establish a secure communication over the public network, guaranteeing the privacy and integrity of distributed applications.

Radware business Partner Timerwell, one of China's fastest growing distributors of networking and communications products has tested the new solution and is gearing up for implementations. "Radware is driving the market with its end-to-end solutions, and further strengthens its product offering by adding VPN to LinkProof Branch," said Remond Lu, Chairman of Timerwell. "Continuing its path of consolidating services, the integration of VPN gateway expands Radware's end-to-end security solution by ensuring a secure channel over public networks from headquarters to branch locations."

"The consolidation of integrated services in our multi-homing solution offers enterprise customers significant savings in OPEX and CAPEX," said Amir Peles, CTO at Radware. "Our end-to-end multi-homing solution provides the flexibility to use any combination of connectivity options, from high capacity to low cost connections, without compromising availability or security."
