The Radware Application Switch II, compatible with and deployable alongside the original award winning Application Switch, unleashes a vast increase in performance and processing power, allowing network managers and operators to cost effectively accelerate the intelligence, health and speed of both existing and new infrastructure. Additionally, the Application Switch II can make comprehensive Layer 4-7 switching decisions based upon specific applications, destination requests or actual content passing through it - at Gigabit speeds - thereby alleviating expensive processing cycles and congestion at servers, firewalls, routers and other task oriented devices.
Radware's Application Switch II is based on a multi-layered switching architecture and a non-blocking 19.2 Gigabit backplane, which provides ultra-high capacity for application switching. Switching ASICs on the port levels ensure unmatched session forwarding rates. The platform supports 5 Gigabit ports and 16 Fast Ethernet ports, all in 1U, providing the highest port density in the market.
