Mobile Internet Gateway honored for outstanding innovation in providing mobile operators with a tailor-made, pay-as-you-grow scalable application delivery model

Radware (NASDAQ: RDWR), the leading provider of integrated application delivery solutions for business-smart networking, today announced that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC), www.tmcnet.com, has named Radware’s Mobile Internet Gateway solution as a recipient of the First Annual NGN Leadership Award presented by TMC’s publication, NGN, www.ngnmag.com.

Radware’s Mobile Internet Gateway, a scalable service- and network-aware policy switch for flexible and profitable service introduction, provides mobile operators with a tailor-made, pay-as-you-grow application delivery model. This approach allows for enhanced real-time classification of on/offnet traffic and partner sites for effective service factory optimization. The solution reduces implementation complexities of mobile back-end resources and enhances further monetization of the network for flexible and effective introduction of new service delivery models (SDP) and support new billing policies.

This best-of-breed solution offers an evolutionary path to intelligent service management through increased control over mobile traffic. By adding “dynamic awareness” of user status and 3GPP attributes gained through the operator’s authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) and remote authentication dial-in user services (RADIUS) enable high speed header enrichments and modifications. These features help gain deeper network intelligence and visibility at the microflow level and allow for new ways to optimize and introduce new services that result in dramatic cost reductions and ways to increase the average revenue per user (ARPU).

“Our Mobile Internet Gateway is designed to provide a scalable path for carriers to advance towards the next generation network,” said David Aviv, Vice-President Advanced Services, Radware. “It is an honor to be recognized by TMC in the inaugural NGN award, which validates our mission to provide carrier solutions that enhance our customer’s networks while creating new revenue streams in this economy.”

The NGN Leadership Award has been established to recognize outstanding achievement in the IP Communications community, including outstanding products, services and technologies relating to IMS and NGN environments.

“Radware has been recognized for their exceptional work in advancing IMS and NGN services and technologies, and we honor its Mobile Internet Gateway with an NGN Leadership Award. With the significant growth in next generation network technologies, receiving this award distinguishes them as a leader in the industry,” stated Rich Tehrani, President of TMC.

The 2009 NGN Leadership Award winners can be found in the May/June 2009 issue of NGN magazine, www.ngnmag.com.
