Radware Signs Partner Agreement with Citadel Group

UK March 25, 2003 02:00 PM

Radware, the leader in Intelligent Application Switching (IAS), ensuring availability, performance and the integrity of networked applications across the enterprise, has appointed Citadel Group as a specialist solutions partner for the City of London. The appointment adds Citadel to the growing list of Radware's Certainty approved partners in the UK.

The alliance, part of a strategic expansion of Radware's UK channel, will seek to deliver highly specialist intelligent application switching skills to Citadel's City of London client base, which includes banks, financial services companies and broking houses.

Citadel's Radware-based solutions will add optimised performance and site wide security to quality of application service and continuous availability of networked resources.

"Businesses in the City of London are looking for real network experts, as for them even a second of delay in unacceptable," said Julian Curtis, business development director, Citadel Group. "With fiscal budget cycles about to recommence, the IT departments of City organisations are looking to improve the continuity and quality of their services, so specialists in ensuring application uptime are in high demand.

"The siege mentality will only lead to firefighting in the long-term and this is the opportunity that our partnership with Radware is centred on," he added.

While many City organisations had maintained their network infrastructures rather than seeking wholesale improvements for the past two years, they were now seeking to increase service quality around specialist skills and solutions, said Curtis. That requirement was focused on identifying network bottlenecks and employing best-of-breed technologies to relieve them.

"Customers are seeking better value from their existing investments in corporate networks and Radware's technologies give the best possible availability of enterprise applications," said Dominic Byrne, regional manager for Radware in northern Europe. "Citadel provides Radware with a strong in-road into the City of London. The agreement gives Citadel the opportunity to bring its specialist skills to bear on networks that are largely dominated by Cisco, but in need of application switching for service quality and assurance."
