Radware’s FireProof Wins Network Computing Asia Product of the Year

SINGAPORE January 16, 2003 02:00 PM

Radware (NASDAQ; RDWR) the leading provider of intelligent Application Switching (IAS), ensuring availability, performance and the integrity of networked applications across the enterprise, announced today that FireProof has been named Product of the Year in the Security category by Network Computing Asia.

Radware FireProof guarantees the full availability, complete redundancy and highest performance of firewalls, Virtual Private Networks and intrusion detection tools, while extending real-time application security and Denial of Service (DoS) protection to prevent malicious signature and debilitating network service attacks. FireProof’s active intrusion prevention detects and thwarts in Gigabit speed more than 1000 attack signatures, safeguarding mission critical resources. FireProof received Network Computing’s gold award, garnering more than sixty percent of the votes of products in the security category, with the product’s Denial of Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection receiving special mention by Network Computing judges.

In their review, Network Computing observed:

"Radware's Fireproof won this category with users highlighting its easy implementation and good network interface. The product incorporates Radware's SynApps Architecture that tracks the status of network such as routers, servers and firewalls and uses the information to coordinate DoS mitigation efforts, traffic redirection, health monitoring and bandwidth management. This is done in an ASIC switch to maintain high throughput levels. DoS and DDoS protection is enabled by simply configuring FireProof and turning on the Application Security module that protects critical network resources. Neatly packaged in a 1-U form factor, Fireproof also supports 100 static NAT hosts and 30 different IP ranges under dynamic NAT."

“Radware is pleased to be recognized by Network Computing Asia. This award once again validates that our security application switching solution continues to set the industry benchmark in high performance intrusion prevention and DoS protection,” said Sharon Trachtman, VP Marketing at Radware.
