Atlantix Global Systems will partner with Radware (NASDAQ: RDWR), a global leader of application delivery and cyber security solutions for virtual, cloud and software defined data centers. Through the partnership, Atlantix Global will strengthen its offering of Application Delivery Controller (ADC) and Attack Mitigation System (AMS) products, provided by Radware to prevent cyber-attacks.
In 2015, Gartner, Inc. placed Radware in the Leaders Quadrant of the 2015 Magic Quadrant for Application Delivery Controllers.
“Under our new direction as an independent IT reseller, we are expanding our relationships with leading technology ‘disruptors’ like Radware, whose ADC and AMS technology will help provide award-winning security to our global customers,” said Atlantix Global CEO Brian Glahn.
Attack Mitigation Systems are tools designed to resist and prevent distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks on Internet networks by protecting the target and relay networks from the most advanced internet-borne cyber-attacks. In a DDoS attack, a hacker can use security vulnerabilities or weaknesses to take control of a computer, forcing it to send huge amounts of data to a website or send spam to particular email addresses.
For many companies, the attacks are frequent and more advanced. As IDC’s Christina Richmond, program director for security services says in a recent report, "Distributed-denial-of-service attacks are no longer an isolated event. Sophisticated attacks hit companies of all sizes, in all industries.”
“Corporations need to understand the severity and intensity of DDoS cyber-attacks and review their security measures,” said David Anderson, Corporate Vice President North America for Radware. “It is vital that organizations equip themselves with the real-time detection and mitigation solutions that are capable of withstanding sustained attacks”
