Radware's DDoS Mitigation Solution Protects Online Tech's Datacenters in the Midwest
Radware© (NASDAQ: RDWR), a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions ensuring optimal service level for applications in virtual, cloud and software defined data centers, announced that Online Tech, a leading enterprise cloud and colocation hosting services company has selected Radware’s attack mitigation system to help protect their datacenters from network security threats while still maintaining business continuity.
Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Online Tech helps protect mission critical applications to ensure they are always available, secure and comply with government and industry regulations. With several facilities in the Midwest, Online Tech employs a multi-layered approach to protecting its datacenters, which includes employing hundreds of unified threat management (UTM) devices at the firewall level.
Online Tech wanted to provide an even higher level of security throughout its entire network. The company, like most others, experienced an increase of volumetric attacks. Although these attacks were being blocked, Online Tech did not want its network performance to be affected.
“The rise in attack frequency and volume really drove our decision to seek out a more robust security solution,” says Nick Lumsden, Director of Infrastructure for Online Tech. “Historically, we would see one volumetric attack per year. We now see more than four times the amount as well as many low and slow attacks. After four months of searching and testing solutions from several different vendors, we ultimately decided Radware provided the best solution for both protecting our network and supporting our security services as a service provider.”
With just a few months into production, Online Tech has been able to protect their customers from a constant barrage of DDoS attacks to their infrastructure through DefensePro - the core product of Radware’s Attack Mitigation System. Radware's Attack Mitigation System consists of patent protected behavioral based real-time signatures technology that detects and mitigates emerging network attacks all without the need for human intervention and without blocking legitimate user traffic.
Helping manage this process is a centralized attack management, monitoring and reporting solution that provides real-time identification, prioritization and response to these attacks.
“As a Service Provider, there is virtually no room for error when it comes to ensuring your customers are protected from attacks that can disrupt their network access,” says David Anderson, Corporate Vice President North America for Radware. “Online Tech is committed to providing each of their clients a complete level of protection for both data and network security. We are pleased they have selected Radware as their business partner.”
